cabaleta

My role in this campaign was to explore and develop the visual identity of Cabaleta, a hard rock band based in South Florida.

For the launch their first album and we decided to take a different approach for the launch. We decided to use each song from the album as a unique approach to test different design styles, allowing us to see how the fans would react to each one. One of the tasks that I was responsible for was to designate the right visual artist for each song, developing a brief with the band core values, deliverable list and execution under a specific style. For this release we worked with 6 visual artists.

I created the album cover for their first album by combining all creative approaches into a unified design that captured the essence of the different styles.

Cero.

For Cabaleta's song "Cero"! We partnered up with renowned Colombian artist Mierdinsky to create an 8-bit animated video that is sure to evoke memories of the 80s and 90s.

My role in this project was to oversee the creative concept and make sure that the art was consistent across the board.

Luces.

Luces was a video created by the talented Colombian artist Connie Molina and a cover design by the designer Cristian Alarcon, who had previously worked on the covers for the last 2 singles.

My role was as an art director, carefully collaborating with the illustrator, Cristian Alarcon “Cris is in Crisis” and Connie to create a cohesive project.

contraluz.

Daniel Cobeira created the video Contraluz, using quick and sensual cuts to explore an unrequited relationship between a person who wants stability and another who is only willing to offer brief moments. The song evokes this situation with the visual signal of the person leaving every night into the shadows.

van Live Sessions.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Youtube Thumbnails

Cabaleta's Youtube Thumbnails began with reworking the original artwork into a different format ratio. This was to ensure that the thumbnail would stand out and be eye catching. I then used bright colors and bold text to draw attention to the thumbnail and make it look more attractive.
