Miami Live Sessions
Miami Live Sessions began as a collaborative project between Siglo Events (founded by Camila Zas, Tuto, and myself), Tepui Productions, and White Noise. We wanted to create a space where Miami's artists could showcase their talent, quickly becoming a hub for creative energy.
Volume 01 launched at HGAB Studios, featuring live art curated by Siglo Events, with artists like Jorge Miguel Rodriguez, Andres Pico, Gons, Audet, and Juan Garzon. The event was a celebration of art, music, and community, with bands like Mariano Venini, Waldos, JAIALAI, and others to be announced, bringing the musical vibes. ITO Mojitos y Cafecitos, a Latin-inspired gastropub, revolutionized classic bites with inventive twists, while Stoner Girl Diary set up their Stoner Photo Booth, selling original SGD prints and giving people Stoner Name tags. Tuto created unique designs for this volume, and we even made shirts to commemorate the occasion. The event was sponsored by HGAB and Tripping Animals Brewing.
Building on that momentum, Volume 02 stayed at HGAB Studios but brought a fresh lineup of talent. Visual artists Erica Sheldon, Gala, Scott Bratek, and Gons showcased their work, while musical guests Paule, wnwd, Waldos, and Folktale San Pedro kept the crowd moving. This volume also marked our collaboration with Tripping Animals, blending art with their unique craft beers, making for an unforgettable Miami experience. Tuto created the artwork for this collaboration, designing two versions of a Kraken for the beer bottle and t-shirt, adding a special touch to the event. Just like with the first volume, we produced shirts to mark the event.
Volume 03 marked a shift from the previous events, as we collaborated with Wynwood Tribe, a local clothing company. This more intimate show took place in their store and featured performances by Rodrigo Solo, Paxton, and Camila Luna. We partnered with Jack Underwood for event capture, ensuring that every moment was documented. This edition allowed us to connect our community more closely with the store, setting the stage for future collaborations with other Miami artists.
By Volume 04, we were ready to turn things up again, taking the event to Gramps in Wynwood. This edition featured Viniloversus, Puma and Harry, and an epic interactive mural by Eric Tuto Dominguez. Attendees got to draw on the walls before Eric transformed it into a final piece—an experience that was pure Miami. We partnered with Jack Underwood for event capture, ensuring that every moment was documented.
As a creative platform, Miami Live Sessions shined a light on emerging artists of all trades and styles. We offered carefully curated entertainment and chill vibes every other month, featuring bands and artists from diverse backgrounds to boost Miami's local cultural scene while ensuring everyone had fun in the process.
My role throughout these events was multi-faceted. I created the visuals and worked closely with Tuto and David Graterol to produce the videos and social content that promoted each session. Daniel Corbeira and Eddy were the masterminds behind the photography, capturing the energy and essence of every show. Eddy and Daniel were part of Tepui Productions, while David Graterol owned White Noise—together, they brought the music to life.
None of this would have been possible without the help of our friends: Kendrick, Biz, Cris, and Mari from HGAB Studios, Ignacio, Danny, and Manga from Vinilo. Their support was invaluable in making each event happen.
Miami Live Sessions ran from January 2, 2017, to December 2017, capturing a vibrant moment in Miami’s creative scene. This project was a true reflection of the city’s artistic spirit, bringing together a community of talented individuals. While it eventually came to an end as we all moved to different parts of the country, it left a lasting impact. Although this project was short and sweet, it shaped my understanding of what artist partnerships and collaborations are, influencing how I approach them in my career today.
